COMCAST/NBC DEAL SET
Comcast and General Electric are finalizing an agreement that would give the world's largest cable company control over NBC Universal. Negotiations are "moving in the right direction" but are not complete. Sunday was the first day of Vivendi's annual window, which runs from Nov. 15 to Dec. 10 each year, to exercise its option to sell its 20% stake in NBC Universal, which could trigger the deal. An announcement could come by week's end, according to knowledgeable sources. (11/16a)
