Mercury Signs Morrison

MERCURY NABS GLEE STAR: Matthew Morrison, Glee’s lovable high school teacher Will Schuester and an accomplished Broadway performer in his own right, has been signed to a recording deal at Mercury Records by label head David Massey. His debut album will come out this fall. Morrison is nominated for a Golden Globe for his role in the hit Fox series. He recently performed “Springtime for Hitler” on CBS’ prime-time Kennedy Center Honors tribute to Mel Brooks. The NYU grad’s first Broadway role came in Hairspray. He was later nominated for a Tony Award for his performance in The Light in the Piazza. Here's Mr. Schuester and his arch nemesis Sue Sylvester. (1/14p)
