Alzheimer's Benefit Raised $1.2 million

A NIGHT TO REMEMBER: Last night’s annual Alzheimer’s Assocation “A Night at Sardi’s Benefit,” at the Beverly Hilton Hotel raised a record $1.2 million for the cause. Legendary theatre producer Suzi Dietz, wife of HITS' own not-so-legendary Editor-in-Chief Lenny Beer, received the Humanitarian Award, and wowed the star-studded crowd with an inspirational speech before a tribute to the music of songwriting legends Kander & Ebb. Also honored at the event were Penny, Garry and Ronny Marshall. Beer noted the generous support of the music industry in helping the org reach its impressive total. (3/19p)
