Smashing Pumpkins honor Record Store Day

TEAGARDEN, NOT TEA PARTY: “Astral Planes” is the final song to be issued for Teargarden by Kaleidyscope Vol. 1” Song for a Sailor, the first of the eventual 11 EPs to be sold in record stores. The limited-edition EP s set for official release on May 25 thru Martha’s Music/Rocket Science Ventures. The first 250 fans who preorder Vol. 1 on Saturday (that’s Record Store Day) will receive a wristband giving them entry into The Smashing Pumpkins’ performance from Amoeba and Urban Outfitters Space 15 Twenty later in the day. They’ll also get what’s billed as a collectors’ edition black light poster. On Tuesday (4/20), the Pumpkins will perform “Widow Wake My Mind” on the Tonight Show. (4/15a)
