MUSIC CITY IN MOTION: Longtime EMI Music Publishing Nashville EVP/GM Gary Overton will take over as Sony Music Nashville CEO, following the departure of Joe Galante. Ben Vaughn, previously VP Writer and Artist Development, will be his replacement at EMI, reporting to Chairman/CEO Roger Faxon in his new role. Vaughn joined EMI Music Publishing in 2002, and developed a roster of writers that includes Rhett Akins, Guy Clark, Alan Jackson, Jamey Johnson and Lady Antebellum’s Hillary Scott, among others. Before that, he ran Scott Hendricks’ Big Tractor Music, where he perfected his southern twang. (4/15p)
