Hands Out for EMI

HANDS OUT: Terra Firma is now asking investors to pony up some $551 million to prevent EMI Music from falling into lender Citigroup’s hands. Reuters reports that Guy Hands is looking for three times the $190 million it owes to help see the company through covenant tests until the 2.6 billion pounds in Citigroup loans can be refinanced. According to a source, the money “would make EMI bulletproof through to 2015.” Meanwhile, the stateside company remains hot, with ACM-winning Lady Antebellum and Now 33 continuing in the Top 10 this week.
