Letterman Label Inks Runner Runner

STUPID BAND TRICKS: David Letterman’s Worldwide Pants Inc. production company is starting a record label, Clear Entertainment/C.E. Music, with their first signing the debut album from Runner Runner. The band’s release will come out on EMI’s Capitol Records through veteran record man Jack Ponti’s MRV and Letterman’s company. Runner Runner is recording in L.A. with producer Dave Darling. The band’s first single, “So Obvious,” hits radio June 15, while the album is scheduled to come out in Sept. (4/27p)
