KWAT’S NEW TUBE: Prospect Park’s Jeff Kwatinetz and his TV partners, including producer Paul Frank and his father, former Disney Studios head Rich Frank, are hoping to capitalize on the success of their USA Network entry, Royal Pains, with a new slate of projects. FX has just OK’ed a pilot order for Wilfred, a surreal comedy based on the Australian series about a talking dog, dubbed "Donnie Darko meets Harvey." Kwatman is also developing Blackrock for Starz, a series about the excesses of the ‘80s music business. The company is partnering with Lionsgate on Eden, a drama for TNT about a pharmaceutical company heir in Las Vegas who helps people overcome their issues, along with a script for the Fox comedy Lost Boys, about four old guys forced to move in together.
