NARM report: Chrissie Hynde

TALK OF THE TOWN: One of the biggest buzz acts of the NARM confab so far was Chrissie Hynde, playing for an intimate gathering—all the people who could possibly fit into a tiny room in the RED suite. It happened during the cocktail party hosted by Rocket Science Ventures. Kevin Day and Ken Gullic have just signed Chrissie’s new project, JP, Chrissie and the Fairground Boys, and with the ink barely dry had her preview the new material (written and sung with Welsh artist JP Jones) for an adoring clutch of NARMers. The RSV/La Mina release will come sometime in August. (5/17a)
