BRAND NAME: Russell Brand’s alter ego Aldous Snow, the outrageous British rock star he plays in the movie Get Him to the Greek, which opens this Friday, is now lead singer of the band Infant Sorrow, whose debut album serves as the movie’s soundtrack on Universal Republic. The label’s Monte Lipman was on hand at the Roxy in L.A. last week for a performance by the group. The album includes collaborations with Pulp’s Jarvis Cocker, The Libertines’ Carl Barat, Walk Hard’s Dan Bern and Mike Viola, The Bird and the Bee’s Inara George and Greg Kurstin, Jason Segel and Judd Aptatow. Those who’ve seen the movie say Brand, about to marry fellow pop diva Katy Perry to become rock’s #1 power couple, is a natural in the role he created for Forgetting Sarah Marshall. (6/1p)
