FIRE STARTERS: Arcade Fire will launch their first U.S. headline dates in three years in August, starting with a show at Boston’s Bank of America Pavilion on Aug. 1, and including N.Y.’s Madison Square Garden Aug. 4. The band will also play shows in Philadelphia (8/2), Columbia, MD (8/6), Nashville (8/9) and Atlanta (8/11). Spoon will open the N.Y., Philadelphia, Maryland and Atlanta dates, bookending the band’s appearance at Lollapalooza on Aug. 8. Arcade Fire will play a pair of intimate dates at Ontario’s Theatre Granada on June 7 and 8. Their new album, Suburbs, its first since Neon Fire in 2007, comes out Aug. 3 on Merge.
