Solomon to Retire

END OF AN ERA: Legendary Tower Records founder Russ Solomon has turned over his R5 store (the site of the original Tower outlet) to Dimples owners Dilyn and John Radakovitz. The two are throwing the retail icon a retirement party at the 16th Street store in Sacramento on July 17 that will be open to the public. In lieu of gifts, Solomon has requested donations be made to the Parkinsons Association of Northern California. For more information visit ParkinsonSacramento.org. Dilyn is also compiling a scrapbook with photos and anecdotes. If anyone wishes to contribute, reach out to her at [email protected]. We wish Solomon nothing but the best. (6/30p)
