CRAZY LIKE A FOX? Not since John Lennon claimed the Beatles were more popular than Jesus has a comment aroused such controversy, but maybe Prince’s “The Internet is over” message, picked up around the world, was just his way of generating a cyberspace of publicity for his new release 20TEN, which was just bundled in yesterday’s edition of the London Daily Mirror, not coincidentally the same place the quote appeared in an exclusive interview. Maybe the Purple One isn’t a Luddite after all, but merely a savvy manipulator of today’s Google-fueled media push. (7/12a)
