Spider-Man musical to open

ACHTUNG, BROADWAY BABY: Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark will open Nov. 14th at the Foxwoods Theatre in midtown Manhattan, producers of the show announced Tuesday. The musical, with music and lyrics by Bono and The Edge, will be the most expensive musical in Broadway history, with an estimated cost of $50 million, the N.Y. Times reports. Originally set to open six months ago, the show ran into financial trouble as production costs went through the roof. The original cast was decimated as well, the exits of Evan Rachel Wood and Broadway vet Alan Cummings leaving rock singer Reeve Carney, who’ll play Peter Parker, as the only remaining key cast member.
