$10 tix, $13 beers at Ozzfest

LAGER THAN LIFE: The $10 ticket is becoming increasingly common leading up to show dates this summer, even for bigger bills like the Jonas Brothers (with Demi Lovato), Kiss, the Goo Goo Dolls, Vans Warped Tour and Stone Temple Pilots. So notes Digital Music News, whose Paul Resnikoff attended the Ozzfest kickoff show in San Bernardino last weekend. What blew his mind that the price of a beer was higher than that of admission for $10 ticket holders at a hefty $13. Resnikoff notes that “it seems like prices on merchandise and concessions are oftentimes ridiculous, especially for a shoe-stringing fan—of which there are more than a few these days.” (8/17a)
