Pitchfork launches POV video concert series

PICK SIX: Pitchfork has launched a video concert series the tastemaker site has dubbed POV, Digital Music News noted. this morning. Each concert is shot from six different angles, and viewers can continually switch between them or watch all six at once in creating a personalized experience. "It's like you are the director, and you can watch a concert over and over differently each time," Pitchfork Publisher/COO Christopher Kaskie enthused. The first three concerts feature the Walkmen, Broken Social Scene and Free Energy, with Interpol up next. American Express, which underwrote Arcade Fire’s Unstaged webcast from Madison Square Garden two weeks ago, is sponsoring the first four presentations. (8/25a)
