Frontier Records 30th anni show

LISA’S CULT JAM: Frontier Records, the seminal L.A. indie founded by local legend Lisa Fancher, will celebrate its 30th anniversary with a show Nov. 7 at the Echoplex. Initial confirmed acts include O.C. hardcore legends The Adolescents, the reunited Middle Class, Flyboys and The Pontiac Brothers, plus a solo set by Adolescents guitarist/frontman Rikk Agnew. A brief history lesson: Middle Class' EP Out of Vogue is believed to be the first American hardcore record ever released, and the band has not played a show in nearly 30 years. Agnew was also behind Christian Death's Only Theatre of Pain, and recorded his own Frontier album, All By Myself. The MC for the evening will be Circle Jerks frontman Keith Morris. Additional Frontier bands are expected to be confirmed and will be announced in the coming weeks. TSOL and Suicidial Tendencies, anyone? How about The Long Ryders and The Three O’Clock? The show is being put on in conjunction with the weekly club Part Time Punks. (9/8a)
