The Return of Michael

READ ALL ABOUT IT: “Breaking News,” the first single from the posthumous Michael album, scheduled for release on Epic Records Dec. 14, debuted this morning on Jackson’s own site, which you can hear here. According to Showbiz411’s Jacko correspondent Roger Friedman, the self-referential lyrics were written by Michael, with the music penned by Eddie Cascio, brother of Jackson’s longtime confidante Frank, and James Porte (who goes by the name Bobby Ewing). The song, produced by Teddy Riley, was apparently created in Eddie’s home studio in August, 2007, and has Michael referring to himself in the third person while addressing all the gossip and innuendo directed at him back then (sample lyric: “Who is that bogeyman you’re thinking of?”). Another new single, “Hold My Hand,” written by Akon with Claude Kelly, is slated to come out the same way next week. (11/8p)
