Taylor big winner at BMI Country Awards

PRINCESS CRUISES: To the surprise of absolutely no one, Taylor Swift was named Songwriter of the Year at the BMI Country Awards, held last night in Nashville on the eve of the CMAs. The tunes that got her the ultimate honor were "Fifteen," "White Horse" and "You Belong to Me," along with "Best Days of Your Life," cut by Kellie Pickler. The 20-year-old also got Song of the Year for the third consecutive year, for "You Belong to Me," a co-write with Liz Rose. Taylor, the CMAs’ reigning Entertainer of the Year, is the favorite to take home the award for Female Vocalist of the Year for the second straight time tonight. Sony/ATV Music Publishing Nashville, which signed Taylor at age 14, got Publisher of the Year, and legendary producer Billy Sherill was named a BMI Icon. (11/10a)
