HARD BOYLE: Susan Boyle’s follow-up album, The Gift, which looks like it will debut at #1 on the HITS Top 50 tomorrow, topped the British charts over the weekend, with 103k in first-week sales, compared to last year’s I Dreamed a Dream, which launched with 412k in sales last year. Bon Jovi’s Greatest Hits package stayed at #2, with last week’s leader, X Factor judge Cheryl Cole’s Messy Little Raindrops, falling to #3. James Blunt’s Some Kind of Trouble debuted at #4, with Michael Buble’s Crazy Love rounding out the Top 5. Cee Lo Green’s The Lady Killer entered at #10, thanks to his U.K. chart-topper, “Forget You,” while Kinks founder Ray Davies’ TV-advertised See My Friends, in which he’s joined by Bruce Springsteen, Metallica and Mumford & Sons, bowed at #12.
