Jammin' on Kobalt

JAMMING ON KOBALT: After their successful foray into indie distribution with the recent Backspacer, Pearl Jam has concluded a long-term, exclusive administration deal for outside the U.S. with Kobalt Music Group, which includes Eddie Vedder solo material. Kobalt will administer the band’s new songs and assume administration of their first two albums, Ten and vs., then take over the rest of the back catalog in 2012. In addition, they’ll take control of Vedder’s solo work, including his soundtrack Into the Wild. Kobalt will also spearhead the synch licensing and promotion of the band’s repertoire and Vedder solo material for use in motion pictures, TV advertising, games, ringtones and other media outside the U.S. The announcement was made today by the pubbery’s CEO and founder Willard Ahdritz.
