BACKGROUND CHECK: Cohl, who’s frequently credited with inventing the modern rock tour through his relationships with U2 and the Rolling Stones, left Live Nation amid a feud with Michael Rapino about the direction of the company. It was Cohl who led the push for the mega-expensive 360 deals that landed Madonna ($120m+) and Jay-Z ($150m+), while eventual winner Rapino fought for a less extravagant approach. (11/20a)
