McDermott Launches New Company

INTRODUCING MAD MAC: Former Linkin Park manager Rob McDermott, who nurtured the band to multi-platinum status as a world-class act, has re-launched his management company Mad Mac Entertainment. Originally founded in 2006, McDermott led the company for two years during which he independently managed up-and-coming artists along with Linkin Park before he became President of the Music Division at The Collective. The new company will work with such emerging artists as Hellyeah, Wayne Static, The Audition, Jesse Thomas, Gemini Syndrome and Amusement Parks on Fire. The company will be based in Los Angeles, CA. “I am excited to re-enter the independent management landscape doing what I love—helping artists realize their visions with fresh ideas and guidance,” said McDermott. “My mission is to deliver the constant innovation and personal service to my artists that I feel is missing from our current industry, and be able to afford Andy Gould’s drinking tab.” (12/2p)
