Zuckie Time's Person of the Year

ZUCKIE’S TIME: Mark Zuckerberg is only the fourth tech mogul to be chosen as Time’s Person of the Year, the N.Y. Times points out. Zuckie’s predecessors are then-Intel chief Andy Grove in 1997, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos in 1999 and Bill Gates (along with his wife Melinda and Bono) in 2005—though the Microsoft kingpin was recognized for his philanthropic activities. Additionally, Time named the computer as Machine of the Year in 1982, and declared that You, as represented by the individual content creator on the Web, was its 2006 Person of the Year. Surprisingly, neither Steve Jobs nor Google founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin have received the honor. (12/16a)
