Murphy to AEG

MURPHY TO AEG LIVE: The L.A. Times may have been surprised, but here at your #1 source for rumormongering we already told you that longtime Live Nation exec Brian Murphy was out, but will now surface at competitor AEG Live, where he will join Goldenvoice President and Coachella co-founder Paul Tollett. Again, as we stated, Rick Mueller solidifies place as President of Live Nation’s L.A. office. The 63-year-old Murphy, who began booking gigs while still in college, established indie promotion company Avalon Attractions, which was acquired by Live Nation precursor SFX in 1998, and spearheaded the rehabilitation of such L.A. venues as the Wiltern Theatre and Hollywood Palladium.
