Again, as we stated, Rick Mueller solidifies place as President of Live Nation’s L.A. office. The 63-year-old Murphy, who began booking gigs while still in college, established indie promotion company Avalon Attractions, which was acquired by Live Nation precursor SFX in 1998, and spearheaded the rehabilitation of such L.A. venues as the Wiltern Theatre and Hollywood Palladium.
