Two Sign to Shady

MADE IN THE SHADY: Rap supergroup Slaughterhouse and budding hip-hop star Yelawolf have inked to Eminem's Shady Records. "It's kinda phase two of Shady," says Marshall. "It's the new generation of Shady Records and as we're trying to rebuild our label, it's exciting for hip-hop and, with all of these forces coming together and with what everybody's capable of on the mic, it's gonna be fun." Slaughterhouse, which includes Crooked I, Joe Budden, Joell Ortiz and Royce Da 5'9," was featured on “Session One,” a bonus track on Recovery. Alabama native Yelawolf released Trunk Muzik 0-60, a compilation from his acclaimed mixtape along with six previously unavailable songs, lst year. He is currently recording his full-length debut. Shady was founded in 1999 by Eminem and manager Paul Rosenberg, with its first signing D12. Shady then partnered with Dr. Dre's Aftermath on 50 Cent, who has proven worth his weight in Twittered stock tips. (1/12p)
