Janet Jackson to Tour U.S.

JANET’S PLANET: Janet Jackson is embarking on a U.S. tour that opens with a pair of concerts at the Chicago Theater on March 7 and 8, and includes dates at N.Y.’s Radio City Music Hall (3/18), the Santa Barbara Bowl (4/9) and L.A.’s Gibson Amphitheatre (4/14) before wrapping up with two shows at Caesars Palace Colosseum (4/22-23). "I've seen the world, been to many places," the singer said in a statement. "The one thing missing was you. We'll be together in Singapore on February 7 and I can't wait to sing, dance, and be up close and personal with all of you. It's not about effects, it's not an extravaganza, it's not about being as big as in the past. This one is all about you and me." The singer’s new book, True You, about her struggles with dieting, comes out Feb. 8, when tickets go on sale for the stateside dates. (1/12p)
