ALEX IN WONDERLAND: Alex Hodges has been upped to CEO of Nederlander Concerts by President of the Nederlander Organization James L. Nederlander. In this new role, Hodges will oversee the management and direction of the company, along with the marketing, programming and operations of live events for all its venues across the West Coast. The 40-plus-year industry vet had been COO for Nederlander Concerts since 2007, including L.A.’s Greek and the Pantages Theatre. Before Nederlander, the Georgia native served as President/CEO of House of Blues Concerts after the company was sold to Live Nation. As an agent, Hodges represented Otis Redding, Sam and Dave, Percy Sledge, the Allman Brothers Band, Atlanta Rhythm Section, Lynyrd Skynyrd, the Police and the Charlie Daniels Band. In the 1980s, Alex was the personal manager for Gregg Allman and Stevie Ray Vaughan, who he represented until the guitar legend’s death in 1990. (1/18p)
