Taking Stock of WMG

TAKING STOCK: Warner Music Group stock is trading at 5.42 right now, down almost 10% from the day’s high of 6. Over the past year, the stock has gone from a high of 8 on April 14 to a low of 4 on July 20. Over the last three years, from January 2008, the stock has gone from a high of 9.05 in May 2008 to a low of 1.58 in Feb. 2009. Edgar Bronfman and Lyor Cohen last week acquired 1,750,000 shares of WMG apiece apiece. Of those shares, 125k shares vest upon WMG achieving an average closing stock price of at least $7 for 60 consecutive trading days, while another 125k vests upon achieving an average stock price of $8 for 60 days.
