Johnston New Voice Music Editor

JOHNSTON FINDS HER VOICE: For the first time in memory, the Village Voice has a female music editor. Idolator alum Maura Johnston will step into the venerable post once held by the Dean of American Rock Critics himself, Bob Christgau, with the exit of Rob Harvilla to San Francisco to be managing editor of Rhapsody. Harvilla follows the great investigative journalist Wayne Barnett out the door as the Voice continues to bleed personnel. Harvilla describes Maura’s interests as “expert chart analysis, debunking bullshit Internet myths and Greg Dulli.” Harvilla’s last day is this Friday. (3/14p)
