WMG files with SEC pre-sale

FULL SPEED AHEAD: While you were hitting the snooze alarm this morning, Warner Music filed confidential regulatory paperwork with the SEC, Digital Music News reports. The filing suggests that the buyout process is moving along briskly. The “Confidential Treatment Order,” as it’s called, is designed to conceal “certain information otherwise required to be included in filed documents,” presumably sensitive information related to a purchase. So it appears that Warner will accomplish its goal of getting some sort of sale consummated before Citigroup auctions off EMI. (3/15a)
