Morello Joins New West
GO NEW WEST YOUNG MAN: Rage Against the Machine’s Tom Morello has inked as a solo artist with New West Records for his third album as the Nightwatchman, World Wide Rebel, which comes out later this summer. The label includes such acts as Steve Earle, Kris Kristofferson, Ian Hunter, Ray Davies, Old 97's, John Hiatt, Dwight Yoakam, Ben Lee and Rickie Lee Jones. The Harvard grad has released two solo albums, and also formed the band Sweet Sweeper Social Club with The Coup’s Boots Riley in 2009. Managed by Gold Village Entertainment’s Danny Goldberg, Morello has worked as a producer with The Crystal Method, Anti-Flag and P. Diddy, among others. He has also done score work on motion pictures such as Iron Man and Iron Man II, as well as The A-Team, Collateral, Charlie’s Angels and Talladega Nights. (3/28p)
