Sheen Bombs in Detroit

PANIC IN DETROIT, RECOVERY IN CHICAGO: Charlie Sheen’s "My Violent Torpedo of Truth/Defeat Is Not An Option" tour may have bombed opening night in Detroit, but the Warlock recovered in time for a fairly successful show in Chicago. On the heels of his disastrous debut Friday night in Detroit, which was marked by boos, catcalls and walkouts, scalpers to his show at N.Y.’s Radio City Music Hall this weekend are taking a bath, with prices ranging from $34-39 for a $126 face value ticket that had been going for $575 at some brokers. Things went much better for Sheen last night in Chicago, though, as only a handful of the 3,600 audience members left early. The 90-minute show featured a Q&A format, where an unidentified man onstage tossed random questions at the unemployed actor. During the show, Sheen admitted he'd crawl back to CBS if the producers of Two and a Half Men would rehire him. Unlike in the Motor City, Sheen's appearance ended in a standing ovation. (4/4a)
