Weintraub Doc

JERRY STAYS IN THE PICTURE: Lots of industry buzzing about His Way, the HBO documentary about legendary film producer and manager Jerry Weintraub, which debuted last night. The film traces the five-decade career of the infamous Hollywood entrepreneur, who told his story in last year’s best-selling autobiography, When I Stop Talking, You’ll Know I’m Dead. Weintraub famously booked Elvis Presley , Frank Sinatra and Led Zeppelin on tours, managed John Denver and produced the original Karate Kid and the Ocean’s 11 remakes. The doc was directed by Douglas McGrath and co-produced by Vanity Fair’s Graydon Carter with executive producer Steven Soderbergh. Among those interviewed are Irving Azoff, George H.W. Bush, Barbara Bush, George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Julia Roberts, Bruce Willis, Ellen Barkin, James Caan, Elliott Gould, Andy Garcia and Ralph Macchio, among others. Here’s a trailer.
