Quantcast

EMI in the Middle East

EMI STRIKES OIL: Well, not exactly, but the music company is teaming up with Souq.com to launch an online music retail store in the United Arab Emirates marketplace with access to more than 6,000 albums from not just EMI, but Warner Music, Walt Disney Records and EMI Music Arabia’s roster of Arabic artists and Middle Eastern music. The EMI Music Store and EMI Merchandise Store are currently available to consumers in the UAE, but plans are afoot to expand across the Middle East later this year. (4/21p)
