THE RACE TO SPACE: Kafka’s report closely followed a Reuters report claiming that Apple had "completed work" on the cloud-based iTunes streaming service, which is "set to launch," thus beating Google’s own rumored cloud service. The catch, according to Reuters, is that Apple has yet to finalize any deals with the majors, and it seems unlikely that the company would risk alienating the majors as Amazon did last month when it launched its service without first securing licenses.
