Airborne Takes Off

AIRBORNE TAKES OFF: L.A.-based The Airborne Toxic Event have released their sophomore Island Records album, All at Once, and are marking the occasion with a week-long, totally sold-out residency at L.A. clubs, starting last night at the Satellite and continuing tonight at the Troubadour, tomorrow night at El Rey, and Thursday night at the Music Box, culminating with a Friday night show at the John Anson Ford Amphitheatre. The L.A. Times’ three-star review said, “This is the sound of a band willing itself into stadiums and Grammy nominations, every song an anthemic melodrama hinging on the crux between life and death.” The band also has a number of television appearances, including tonight on NBC's Jay Leno and Thursday on the outside stage of ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live. They are also slated to be the musical guests on hit show Gossip Girl during the May 16 season finale. Check the video for the first single, "Changing," below. (4/26p)
