LOVERBOY’S PUCK AND ROLL: You may not be aware of it in either sunny L.A. or N.Y., whose local hockey teams have already been eliminated, but Stanley Cup fever is peaking at places like Vancouver, where the hometown Canucks just won a thrilling seven-game series against the Chicago Blackhawks and are now locked in a 1-1 tie with the Nashville Predators going into tonight’s third game in Music City. Loverboy lead singer Mike Reno, himself a native of Vancouver and host of the local The Bro Jake Radio Show on Classic Rock 101, is caught up in the excitement, laying down vocals for a new theme song, “Flying High,” which is posted on the team’s website. The band, who have been back in the studio recording new songs with original engineer Bob Rock, are now being managed by Jonathan Wolfson, who has previously sparked renewed interest in his other clients, Daryl Hall and John Oates. The group, featuring guitarist Paul Dean, perform at the Lancaster Performing Arts Center in Lancaster, CA., this Friday. (5/3p)
