UMG MARKS THE SPOT: Amanda Marks has been upped to the newly created post of Global Head of Digital Accounts for Universal Music Group by President of Global Digital Business Rob Wells, to whom she reports. Marks served as UMD EVP/GM. Marks will oversee all relationships with UMG’s digital retail partners on a global basis, working closely with affiliated labels and business partners, including SVP Commercial Affairs Ross Foster’s team. Marks served as EVP for eLabs, UMG’s digital strategy and deal-making division. She also helped launch Jimmy and Doug's Farmclub.com. Her background also includes stints with UMG’s Business & Legal Affairs Department, Mercury Records, Rock-It Cargo USA, Viscount Airlines and as an associate with McKenna & Cuneo in L.A.
