Cole out, Scherzinger in on X Factor

SEE YA: A report this morning in U.K. tabloid the Sun claims Cheryl Cole is out as a judge on the U.S. version of The X Factor, with Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger replacing her. According to a source, "It hasn't worked out. She's homesick and wants to return to the U.K. She's had enough. Whether she ends up back on U.K. X Factor is open to speculation." Prior to Cole’s arrival, fellow judge L.A. Reid revealed he’d never previously heard of her, or even listened to any of her music. She also had the uphill battle of living up to Paula Abdul, the story noted. Then there was the language barrier: some auditionees reportedly had trouble understanding Cole, and she was booed on her second day after sending three acts home. (5/26a)
