"Demoting" the PC--Jobs

HUBBA HUB-A: Perhaps the most provocative statement uttered by Steve Jobs yesterday during his iCloud presentation was this prediction of an imminent sea change in the way we use digital technology: "Keeping these devices in sync is driving us crazy. We have a great solution for this problem. We are going to demote the PC to just be a device. We are going to move the digital hub, the center of your digital life, into the cloud." (6/7a)
