Clemons Suffers Stroke

BIG MAN SUFFERS STROKE: E-Street sax player Clarence Clemons has suffered a stroke at his home in Florida, according to multiple reports. Roger Friedman’s Showbiz411 first reported the musician “is said to be seriously ill.” Clemons has been with Bruce Springsteen for nearly four decades, helping define the band’s sound on classics like “Thunder Road” and “Born to Run.” The 69-year-old underwent two knee replacements and back surgery last year, and had been forced to perform sitting down. Clemons recently collaborated with Lady Gaga on Born This Way, playing on the singles, “The Edge of Glory and “Hair” and performing with her on the American Idol finale last month. Clemons was scheduled to perform the national anthem at Game Two of the NBA finals last week in Miami, but had to cancel at the last minute due to a hand injury, watching the game in the stands instead.
