Confesses to Tupac Quad Shooting

TUPAC SHOOTER SPEAKS: Dexter Isaac, currently serving life in prison for murder, robbery and other offenses, has admitted being involved in the shooting of rap star Tupac Shakur in Nov., 1994, at Manhattan’s Quad Studios. Isaac came forward today with the information on the eve of what would’ve been Tupac's 40th birthday. He claimed that James “Jimmy Henchman” Rosemond, currently on the run from a cocaine dealing indictment, paid him $2,500 to take part in the shooting. "I want to apologize to [Tupac’s] family and for the mistake I did for that sucker [Jimmy Henchman]," Isaac told AllHipHop.com from prison. Isaac decided to confess to the robbery to prove Jimmy Henchman's involvement, in addition to clearing his conscience for his role in the shooting. Legally, no one can be prosecuted for the assault since the statute of limitations has passed. Isaac was a lifelong friend of Henchmen, who helped the former mogul set up his first company, Henchman Entertainment, in 1989. Isaac has long been suspected of being involved in the Quad shooting of Shakur, along with an associate named Spencer "Scooter" Bowens, who is also serving a life sentence. (6/15p)
