ANATOMY OF A HIT SHOW: The Voice gets closely examined in the latest issue of the The Hollywood Reporter, and the cover story is packed with fun facts. For example, Christina Aguilera is paid $225k per episode, while Cee Lo Green, Blake Shelton and Adam Levine get $75k apiece. But that $550k total is less than a quarter of the whopping $2.3 million NBC spends on every hour of the show. "I was willing to pay premium” for a show that felt "like an arena experience for a music fan," said Paul Telegdy, the network’s oft-quoted head of alternative programming. But the show’s through-the-roof ratings have enabled NBC to nearly cover Aguilera’s weekly fee with every 30-second advertising spot, for which it pulls in $250k—which may be jacked up to $375k next season.
