Kanye's G.O.O.D. to IJDMG

KANYE'S G.O.O.D. TO GO: In the first major creative move of the Barry Weiss era, 14-time Grammy winner Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music has been signed to an exclusive long-term worldwide label agreement with the Island Def Jam Music Group. The announcement was made jointly by Kanye, Universal Motown Republic Group/Island Def Jam Music Group Chairman/CEO Barry Weiss and IDJMG President/COO Steve Bartels. The first release will be 22-year-old Detroit rapper and Kanye protete Big Sean’s Finally Famous, which comes out tomorrow. The album, executive produced by West, has already spawned the hit single “My Last," featuring Chris Brown. “G.O.O.D. Music is an exciting new chapter in the long and successful association of Kanye West and Island Def Jam,” said Weiss. Added Bartels: “Kanye is an integral core member of the IDJ family, and G.O.O.D. Music continues his unselfish tradition of bringing along great new artists to the forefront.” (6/27a)
