Pitchfork Fest Paris

INDIE ROCK INVADES GAY PAREE: Last Friday, two weeks before the start of this year’s Pitchfork Music Festival in Chicago, the organizers revealed that they’re taking their act to Paris this fall for a fest headlined by Bon Iver and curated by the group’s Justin Vernon. The inaugural European event will go down in Oct. 28-29 in La Grande Halle de la Villette, Pitchfork.com announced. According to the site, “more than 20 bands and multitude of D.J.s” will play in the 5k-seat hall in the center of the Parc de la Villette, the city's largest public cultural park. Acts include Jens Lekman, Wild Beasts, Cut Copy and Pantha du Prince; Vernon will select several additional performers. (7/6a)
