Citi's time frame for completing EMI sale

WON’T BE LONG NOW: Citigroup plans to seek initial bids for EMI by the end of July or early August, and hopes to finalize a sale (or sales) within a couple months, two sources told Bloomberg. They added that Citi will provide offering materials in the next week, once the bidders agree not to disclose confidential EMI data, while naming Len Blavatnik, Sony, BMG Rights Management, UMG and the Gores brothers (presumably Roger Faxon’s favorite brother act) as prospective bidders. And don't forget Irving and Live Nation, who are certainly in the mix of possible buyers. (7/7a)
