Magic and Music at the Skirball

MAGIC AND MUSIC AT THE MUSEUM: Looking for something cool to do? As part of their ongoing, highly recommended Houdini: Art and Magic and Masters of Illusion: Jewish Magicians in the Golden Age exhibits (see our review here), the Skirball Cultural Center is holding a special “Into the Night: Music and Magic” concert tonight from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m., with KCRW DJ Anthony Valadez as well as performances from local rock groups Autolux and Superhumanoids. There will also be a screening of the 1920 Harry Houdini serial, Master Mystery (see clip below), with access to the galleries, all for $15, and free parking to boot. (7/8p)
