WMG Employee Charged

CRIMINAL MIND: Andrew Robertson, a one-time Warner Music Group exec in charge of office purchasing, reportedly set up a fictitious company in his own name to scam the record label out of nearly $700k, according to a story in today’s N.Y. Post, so it must be true. The 44-year-old allegedly created a fake equipment-manufacturing concern and submitted inflated invoices to his bosses to buy TVs, stereos and AV equipment, pocketing the difference. The ruse had apparently been going on since 2007 through the beginning of this month. Robertson was charged with grand larceny and released from jail after posting $10k bail. According to WMG spokesman Will Tanous, Robertson no longer works for the company, but can still get you a good deal on a flat-screen. (7/12a)
